The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has informed prospective corps members that there will be no room for date of birth correction on its certificate after completion of service.
In a post shared on its Twitter page on Tuesday, the scheme also said it won’t entertain such requests after deployment and commencement of service year.
It called on prospective corps members to utilize the link provided on their dashboards during online registration to correct any mistake relating to date of birth.
“Important information to all prospective corps members. There shall be no correction of date of birth on Certificate of National Service (CNS) after completion of National Service,” it wrote.
“Accordingly, you are strongly advised to utilize the link provided on your dashboard for date of birth correction during your online registration.
“Also, note that NYSC will not entertain any request for date of birth correction once you have been deployed and commenced your service year. Online registration is ongoing. http://nysc.org.ng.”
TheCable Lifestyle had earlier reported how the scheme suspended activities in all camps nationwide to combat spread of the novel coronavirus.
It, however, recently submitted a proposal for reopening of its camps to Chikwe Ihekweazu, director-general of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), for approval.
