It is understood that the video game would also be featuring existing characters in its collection including Iron Man, Hulk, and Captain America.
It is also believed that Khan, who identifies as a US teenager of Pakistani heritage, would be cast with shape-shifting abilities, having been created in 2014 by Sana Amanat, a Marvel director.
“I first heard of Ms. Marvel from the comics a few years ago,” Maria Afsar, a 25-year-old gamer, who spoke to the media outlet on the new addition, was quoted to have said.

“I immediately thought it was so cool when reading her background was like mine, being Pakistani, Muslim and a girl. I saw nothing like this when I was younger.
“When I saw the announcement she is going to be in the game and one of the main characters, I just thought I’ve literally been waiting for something like this my whole life.”
On why she created the character, Amanat, who is also a Muslim-American, said she saw a need for a comic personality that young girls of similar background could identify with and look up to.

“The fact that she’s the entry point character in this game makes so much sense. People from all backgrounds can relate to her.”
